The castells are an exercise in special cooperation, almost unique in the world, that set about achieving ephemeral challenges, but which impregnate the photographic memory tjat we all conserve. They were founded in Catalonia more than two hundred years ago, and are essential in many popular festivals in this country.
Castells (castles) are human towers built in Catalonia where men, women and children alike participate.
